Uses of Ball Mill

Ball mill is widely used in grinding various kinds of ores or rocks applicable to the industries of metal or non-metal mine, water resource and construction material department.

The main body of ball mill is a rotation tube at low speed which is installed horizontally two large bears. the ball mill is driven by the reducer and peripheral gear to reduce the rotation speed or a synchronous motor perform on the peripheral gear to reduce the rotation speed to drive the rotation part, the steel rod is filled inside the tube as the grinding medium. The grinding medium is lift to a certain height under the effect of eccentric force and friction then fall down in the throwing or pouring way. The materials will be grinded continuously come into the tube body and crushed out by the grinding medium, and is discharged outside by the force of overflowing and continuous feeding so as to proceed in the next procedure.

The ball mill manufacturers in China with tube diameter of 900~2100mm is classified as Y series of high-start torque and JR asynchronous electric drive. For the big size of ball mill the TDMK low rotation synchronous motor for mill use only is adopted, and the single class deceleration drive is achieved to run the rotation part through the air clutch and small gear jointed. As the air clutch is installed the motor can be segmented start-up, decrease the start power and improve the condition. The Double-row centripetal spherical roller shaft and the large modulus alloy cast steel helical gear are adopted to make the transmission stable, low noise and long-life use. The radial seal cover is arranged on the big gear to protect effectively seal. The dry oil atomizer is used on the lubrication of the big gear, periodically spraying quantitative grease on the work surface of gear for lubrication.

The rod mill with tube diameter 900-2100mm adopts the spherical pad shaft and the shaft of enclosed self-aligning 120 degree “rocker” is adopted on the rod mill with tube diameter of 2700 mm or more, in which high-lead low-tin low-hardness Babbitt alloy is adopted and under which water-permeable cooling copper pipes is buried. The shaft has a hydrostatic structure and are lubricated by high-low pressure combined oil lubrication stations. Slippery. The seal between the main shaft and external are adopted piston ring seal, rubber bar and grease.

Large-scale rod mill is equipped with slow-speed transmission device which can make the major shaft to get rotation of 0.15r/min at the moment of the turning gear, maintenance or releasing load meanwhile the roof tank is installed for jacking-up the rotation part for maintenance.
